Logan, Logan, Bo Bogan

It has been awhile since I did a little Logan update. He is doing well, just really busy and doesn't have a lot of time to sit for pictures like he used to. He turned 14 months old last week. I've got a little list of his latest: {1} He head is starting to look pretty banged up with scrapes and bruises. He is becoming quite the little walker-along-furniture, but often misjudges and bumps it on the way down. {2} He stands alone, but plays this game where we say ready, set, go and he stands alone for a few seconds and then purposely falls. {3} He loves to hum! When his toys make music we will find him humming along. He is destined to be a wonderful musician. {4} He loves to lay his head down on blankets and pillows whenever he sees them. {5} He is starting to use a spoon and fork, although sometimes he actually puts the piece of food on the spoon or fork, he is getting fairly good. {6} He has seven teeth, and I think molars are coming really soon, the backs of his gums are p

Just a little Preseason Excitement . . .

That's right . . . Max Hall. For the non-Cougar fans Max Hall is the quarterback for BYU's football team. Josh's sister Michelle teaches 4th grade and the father of one of her students employs Max's wife, so he was able to come to her classroom and we were able to listen to him read a story to the class, answer questions, have him sign Logan's shirt, and take a picture with him. Logan has started doing this glaring thing, and of course when Max came over to say hi, Logan greeted him with a glare. Ahh, someday I can give him a hard time about that! P. S. Today Logan is 14 months!

Temple Square

We were able to go to Salt Lake a little while ago and visit with Karen, my good friend from high school, her husband Dave, and her new little guy Eli, who we had never met! (they live in North Carolina) We went to temple square and took some fun pictures. Taking a moment to stop and smell the flowers. Logan loved to look at Eli! Me, Josh, Logan, Dave, Karen, and Eli. Logan loves water and he surprised us by being able to climb onto this ledge by the little fountain all by himself, we had to watch him like a hawk. He is a crazy climber these days! The flowers on temple square were gorgeous! They looked like they were in full bloom and there were so many. I love tulips. Our little family in front of the Salt Lake Temple. Logan loved the water! Grandpa

My grandma passed away last August . My grandpa passed away on this past Friday, May 16, 2008 and I can't help but think of the song "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds: And where was I before the day That I first saw your lovely face? Now I see it everyday And in a white sea of eyes I see one pair that I recognize Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties And one day passed away in his sleep And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days Then passed away I'm sorry I know that's a strange way to tell you That I know we belong And I know I am, I am the luckiest It wasn't a couple of days, but it was 9 months, almost to the day. I miss them both very much.

Logan's Happiness is Contagious

Lately Logan's mobility has created a new stage of motherhood for me, which has proved much more difficult than his extremely laid-back first year of life.  Although I am tired from chasing after him all the time, he really is such a happy child and he makes me laugh on a daily basis.  He crawls and walks along furniture and makes lots and lots of messes, but he sure has a fun time doing it.   He is in the awkward stage of consolidating from two naps down to one, which is starting to get frustrating, but one day I was holding him and closing my eyes to help him fall asleep and when I opened my eyes he kept blinking his eyes like he was trying to keep them closed and it made me burst out laughing, needless to say, he didn't take an afternoon nap that day, we were having too much fun!  Today I was listening to the radio and heard Trace Adkins' song "You're Gonna Miss This".  I love that song, because it reminds me to enjoy every moment, because in the long run,

Science can be Fun

One thing Josh and I really wanted to do while we were in San Francisco was go to the Exploratorium! We spent quite awhile looking and playing, and I guess learning :) There are so many fun things to do and see. Josh is standing underneath a real piano. Sadly, the lighting inside the Exploratorium was awful for picture taking. A drinking fountain, really. I dared take a drink, but I am pretty sure Josh did not. You know those toys you buy with little metal rods that you can make shapes, like hands and your face, this is one of those, only huge. Big chair, little chair, random little kid. We got Logan a little souvenir board book called "Good Night San Francisco" and it has all the different tourist attractions. The page with the Exploratorium has this exhibit. The beach ball appears to be floating because there is a fan with constant air keeping the beach ball up. Probably my favorite exhibits and they were very first. Sand and water play for adults. I loved it. We t
