Playing in the Snow

Although the snow made it a little tricky to travel to and from Logan last week for some pre-Christmas celebrating, we sure did have a lot of fun playing in all that snow. Josh really wanted to make an igloo, and we got really close, but we ended up with just a snow fort in the end, still extremely cool. There is nothing better than laying down in snow and making a snow angel.

I Cry the Day that I take the Tree Down

The hardest part about Christmas is when it's over. And here it is . . . over, but it was a wonderful Christmas. The nice thing about technology is I can wish a belated Merry Christmas to all who read our blog, so Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope the holidays found you well and you were able to celebrate the birth of our Savior and enjoy a beautiful white Christmas, as we were!

Ho, Ho, Ho Christmas

Logan was playing and randomly started saying, "Ho, Ho, Ho Christmas", I think it is his impersonation of Santa. We have been getting ready for Christmas and enjoying what the season brings, especially music, Josh and I were lucky enough to be able to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert, which was amazing (thanks Sheri!)  It is finally a Winter Wonderland here with lots of snow! I am so excited to bundle Logan up and let his experience it first-hand.

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas

Logan was pretty excited to see Santa Claus at our ward party this weekend. "Santa!" This is Logan waiting in line to see Santa. When we tried to put him on his lap, he was a little nervous, but definitely liked the candy cane!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

100th Post!

And Josh and I have been married for 4 years, Wahoo! I am so lucky to have Josh! He is strong where I am weak and somehow manages to make everything right whenever he's around. Most of all what I love having in him is a best friend. He watches my silly shows with me and makes me feel like the coolest girl around. In case you don't know how we met . . . be sure to always attend institute, and choir while you're at it. Josh joined the Orem Institute choir for the summer with a couple of his buddies, mostly to meet some women :) Well, Josh wasn't so lucky, but his friend was and ended up getting married, where Josh was the best man. I came to the wedding reception (I knew Emily from LD Singers, a choir through the Ephraim Institute) . . . and later Josh hinted that he wouldn't mind being set up on a date with me. 11 months later Josh and I were married! Thanks Jon and Emily!

Oh, What did We do in the Autumn Time?

The past couple of months has just flown by! Things have been pretty busy or maybe just steady, as I have realized life with a toddler always is. Fall is my favorite season, I just love everything about it. Here's a couple Highlights: -We went to Hogle Zoo and Famous Dave's (yum, yum, Josh's favorite!) -We also took pictures at Utah State, went to the USU Homecoming Parade, and the North Logan Pumpkin Walk when we were up in Logan for Katelyn's 1st birthday party. -Logan got to go trick-or-treating with his cousins, which he loved! We just couldn't resist! The pumpkin walk is always fun, and this was my favorite exhibit. It was a fishing scene including a lake and waterfall made out of pumpkins. I was able to go to another Early Childhood Conference. This conference was at Salt Lake Community College and Roscoe Orman was the keynote speaker. He talked a lot about the history of Sesame Street and he also said, "You have to imagine something, before you can acco

Logan the Magic Dragon

I don't know why I love Halloween so much, I guess it is just nice to have a reason to celebrate. We have been trying to stretch out our celebration as long as possible, mostly I just love dressing Logan up in his costume and watching him run around as a little dragon! {Thanks to our friends Shelby and Sonia!} He was able to dress-up over the weekend for his cousin Katelyn's 1st birthday and for the ward Halloween party, and a little carnival they had at Josh's work for children of faculty and students. Every time I just smile, because I think he is so darn cute. On Monday we went to a pumpkin patch, a first for all three of us. We picked out our very own pumpkin, or 4 to be exact, because it was the last day and they were only $1 a piece regardless of the size! We went a little late, so when we got there it was getting pretty dark, still fun, just hard for the pictures, but Logan lately has been making picture taking a real challenge anyway. It is practically impossible to

Go ahead . . .

Every now and then it feels good to give yourself a little hug. I have been a bit busy lately, but this is too funny not to post. When I realized what he was doing I just started laughing. In the video he first says, "light" and then I think he says "shut" when he wants to turn it off, and then he says "hug".

Josh Had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

I am so lucky to have these two guys in my life! I hope you had a good birthday yesterday, Josh!

I've Been Watching You Dad

{Lyrics by Rodney Atkins} Logan has been spending a lot of time with Josh lately, and he just loves his dad. He even loves the riding in the Geo {yes the Geo I have had since I was 16}, I am pretty sure he thinks it is a manly car, because he sees Josh drive it around. Throughout the day he will walk over to the door and say, "Dad?"

Logan's Bump

Logan and I were walking hand in hand across the parking lot to the dumpster and he tripped and fell. I picked him up and watched a huge goose-egg form on his forehead. It broke my heart to see it. I felt so bad I sent Josh a picture on his phone right after it happened. I think it is the preschool teacher in me that feels like I have to document every owie he gets or at least share it with someone else! It happened on Tuesday, and is now just a yellowish spot, but these past few days everyone keeps asking where he got the bump on his head. I had heard of scrapblog and when Chrissy posted something she made I thought I would give it a try. It is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking at all, and I haven't done a lot of traditional scrapbooking in the last 5 years, so it is just for fun.

Feeling Blessed

18 months

It seems the older Logan gets the more complex he is! He is growing and learning in so many ways, I can't even keep track and my little lists don't seem quite comprehensive enough. I guess the best description of Logan now is he is his own little person. Through the course of the day he is happy at times and frustrated at times, just like anyone. He is doing some funny things though . . . He is obsessed with where things belong. I had a rolled up piece of material on the table for awhile, because I hadn't put it away. One day I put it in our bedroom. Well, Logan found it later that day in our bedroom and carried in into the kitchen and put it on the table. Apparently it sat too long on the table, and that became its permanent home. His memory is getting so much better. It could be that I have just noticed it lately, but he remembers a lot of things, especially about what we read in his books. We like to read Corduroy sometimes, and when Corduroy tries to pull of the button

The Quest

BYU football is in the air and the Cougars are doing so well, it makes the games even more fun to watch! We love to show our Cougar Pride. Logan can even say, "Cougars". Go Cougars!

Holes, Spiders, and Slides . . . Oh My!

So this week has been a little crazy around our apartment. The moral of the story is to fix leaks . . . . . . before the roof comes crashing down into the bathtub. Almost completely all better, one more coat of spackle and a paint job and it will be practically as good as new. {FYI: We reported the leak when it was small.} And be very, very careful to look before opening windows. There just may be a black widow spider hanging out. And enjoy the ride. Logan goes down the slide by himself and has a blast.
