1st Hair Cut

When I looked at the before and after shots, I was so glad we gave him a little trim! What a cute little man! I used the clippers on all his hair, and he didn't even mind. I used the scissors to trim the back of his hair and around the ears. I saved a lock of hair for his baby book and it is probably a good 3 inches of hair. Logan is sitting up with help, and he can sit up in the boppy (as pictured above) by himself. Not too long before he will be able to sit up completely by himself. So, Logan's hair was pretty long! He was born with quite a bit of hair, but as his head grew his hair couldn't keep up, leaving some funny bald spots (which are still slightly apparent). His baby hair was so long and I knew it needed to be trimmed, but I didn't know when you were "supposed" to to cut a baby's hair. I finally decided that for Logan his first haircut would be at 5 months. I was sure to take plenty of pictures so I could document how long his hair rea

Logan's 2nd trip to Logan

While we were visiting Logan's temple, Josh was playing on the grass and I took this picture. I have been practicing taking pictures at the right moment. I am very happy with the way this one turned out. My two boys playing together. Two weeks ago we went to Logan and visited with my family. I wanted to take a picture of Logan by the temple. It was a spontaneous idea, so we were dressed casually, but sometime I plan to dress-up to take pictures there with Logan.

Remember and Cherish Always

Logan's great-grandma Wood passed away on 8/10/07, almost 2 weeks ago. It is interesting, because she died suddenly. She was 83 and had heart problems in the past, but she didn't have any real problems at the time. She was reading a good book and just passed away. The nice thing is she didn't have any major suffering or stay in the hospital. The other thing I am so grateful for is, about two months ago we took Logan to visit family in Logan and I was able to take these two great pictures with his great-grandma Wood. The picture above is just so special to me, because Logan was smiling while my grandma was talking and Josh snapped the picture at just the perfect time. I will always remember my last time and Logan's first and last time to see my grandma Wood.

Feed the Birds

This is Logan on Sunday, 8/5/07. We have so much fun taking pictures of him now, because I hold the button on the camera half-down and Josh makes him smile, so I end up capturing some good moments. We were given a bunch of clothes from some friends, who were moving, and this little vest was in the bunch. I thought it was pretty cute, so I dressed him up for church. He looks darling in this picture. On Saturday, 8/4/07 we went to BYU and fed the birds. I thought it would be fun. Logan looked at the ducks, but I couldn't tell if he really liked it or not. They weren't too noisy, and they came pretty close to us (we did bring some bread to entice them toward us) but they didn't come out of the water or anything. He mostly likes to watch other people and what they are doing. I get so excited about Logan playing with toys, especially because he has interest in them now. Justin & Jana gave us Jordyn's old walker quite awhile ago. Now that Logan can sit up with help I

Bright-eyed Logan!

Josh took this picture of Logan in his car-seat yesterday (7/31/07). Logan really is just the happiest baby. He is laid back like Josh and I and fits very well in our little family. He loves to be around people, especially little kids. He laughs now when you tickle his side or do goofy things. I just have to give a little disclaimer for this picture! I wanted to take a picture of his band-aids from his shots before they fell off, but every time I went to take a picture his eyes got really wide. It was impossible to take a picture without his eyes being as wide as they could go, so I settled for the best one of the bunch. Logan went to see the doctor on Friday 7/27/07 for his 4 month check up. He weighed 13 lbs. even and he was 26 1/4 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight. Dr. Clayton said that he is doing well. He said it is just fine that he is skinny and it is fine to just keep doing what we are doing. I have been reading and hea
