4th of July Sparkling Sky

Another 4th of July has come and gone. I think we are finished with our celebrations, although it makes me slightly sad. I really love it.

The balloon festival, definitely a favorite of mine, and the only time all year I get up that early. We showed up around 6:00 am. That's early, but well worth it, because it really is neat how they blow up the balloons and shoot fire to get the air to heat up, and then they launch into the air. Logan also really enjoyed watching the balloons.

Logan saying, "Hot"after seeing the fire.

The parade. Of course extremely big in Josh's family. Josh and his dad spend months helping to plan the grand event and they spend the parade riding around in a golf cart supervising everything that goes on. I had Logan watch the whole thing start to finish and he did pretty well. Sitting still is not ever on his list of things to do. I love parades.

His favorite new game that I play with him is putting things on his head and saying, "hat".

Glen Beck.

Stadium of Fire. Who doesn't love fireworks? Spectacular of course, and the Blueman group was excellent. Miley Cyrus was not my kind of performer and honestly I didn't like her music, but the fireworks were great and the patriotic music they play during the fireworks was inspiring. I was disappointed that there was no fire! That has always been my favorite thing, especially the first year I went. I am not sure why there was no fire, but it made me quite sad. It is after all called "Stadium of Fire".

Your little Logan is adorable! My niece said the same "hot" the first year she was conscious of what fireworks were. My mom said you dropped by today. Was that fun to see them? Did they subject you to the typical "my son is so talented, you have to see his bedroom he painted" routine? Thay's cool.

Sometime when we're in Utah for the 4th, we'll have to check out this balloon festival. It looks really cool! Love the ear plugs in Logan's ears :) This year we completely missed the fireworks because we were in Charlotte and Eli was already in bed :(

A Couple of Updates

I haven't been very involved in the online world very much in the recent months. I haven't been feeling very well. I had mostly rejoined the feeling-better society and getting excited for the ultrasound which we had yesterday on January 15th. Yes, I am Pregnant!!! 20 weeks to be exact and I had gone to 4 doctors appointments and heard the heartbeat several times. Josh and I went to the ultrasound anxious to find out the gender, because we are planners of course. I got situated and the person doing the ultrasound put the wand on my belly and I looked up at the monitor and saw two circles. (I wish we had a picture of that, but we don't have that exact one) In my mind I said, "that is two heads." She said, "Oh, did you guys know you were having twins?" Josh turned, because he had not seen the two heads on the monitor yet and said, "Uh, no". And she said, "Well, you are!" Surprise. A few moments later we found out it was two girls. Wowza....

100th Post!

And Josh and I have been married for 4 years, Wahoo! I am so lucky to have Josh! He is strong where I am weak and somehow manages to make everything right whenever he's around. Most of all what I love having in him is a best friend. He watches my silly shows with me and makes me feel like the coolest girl around. In case you don't know how we met . . . be sure to always attend institute, and choir while you're at it. Josh joined the Orem Institute choir for the summer with a couple of his buddies, mostly to meet some women :) Well, Josh wasn't so lucky, but his friend was and ended up getting married, where Josh was the best man. I came to the wedding reception (I knew Emily from LD Singers, a choir through the Ephraim Institute) . . . and later Josh hinted that he wouldn't mind being set up on a date with me. 11 months later Josh and I were married! Thanks Jon and Emily!

Josh Had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

I am so lucky to have these two guys in my life! I hope you had a good birthday yesterday, Josh!
