Days go by

We have almost made it two months, and for those of you wondering, there are good days and bad days and good moments and challenging moments throughout the day. Luckily we have awesome family and friends who are still willing to help. I had a very productive weekend with a lot of my family here, and this morning I was able to go to Costco with Logan while Kathy watched the girls.

Logan loves to take pictures whenever he sees the camera or when he's bored. Most of those times tend to be when I am breastfeeding, so here is a G-rated shot.

Trying to take pictures of the babies is tough. One will usually be fussing by the time the other one is ready and Logan of course wants to "help" the entire time. :)

Megan made these cute onesies.

Tessa smiles a lot these days.

Logan tends to take a few sweet pics in his mix.

And I found out one of my best friends is moving to North Carolina. I am going to be missing these days (I stole this picture of her blog from about 2 years ago) :

my walking/chatting buddy of the last three years. What will I do without our chats, sometimes the only reason I would get dressed and out of the house. She knows me almost as well as I know myself. My heart is sad.

Good to hear you are surviving! I don't know how anyone manages to manage twins. My very good friend here in Brooklyn is expecting triplets in the next few weeks, and everyone in the ward is bracing themselves to help however we can (they don't have any family nearby). I know you're still figuring things out yourself, but if you have a moment, could you post ways friends can help a mother of multiples? We all want to help them, but it'd be nice to have some insight from someone who knows firsthand what helps and what doesn't.

Ditto to what grandpa said. I absolutely love these digital cameras, so easy that even Logan can get good photos.

A Couple of Updates

I haven't been very involved in the online world very much in the recent months. I haven't been feeling very well. I had mostly rejoined the feeling-better society and getting excited for the ultrasound which we had yesterday on January 15th. Yes, I am Pregnant!!! 20 weeks to be exact and I had gone to 4 doctors appointments and heard the heartbeat several times. Josh and I went to the ultrasound anxious to find out the gender, because we are planners of course. I got situated and the person doing the ultrasound put the wand on my belly and I looked up at the monitor and saw two circles. (I wish we had a picture of that, but we don't have that exact one) In my mind I said, "that is two heads." She said, "Oh, did you guys know you were having twins?" Josh turned, because he had not seen the two heads on the monitor yet and said, "Uh, no". And she said, "Well, you are!" Surprise. A few moments later we found out it was two girls. Wowza.

Josh Had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

I am so lucky to have these two guys in my life! I hope you had a good birthday yesterday, Josh!

1st Half-Birthday

Logan sits up all by himself now, but he uses his hands like a little tripod for support. He is also able to roll from his back to his stomach, but he really doesn't like his stomach, so he has probably only rolled that way less than 10 times. Mostly when we tease him with toys or other such things. He is really laid back and happy and I just keep thinking I am the luckiest mom in the world! So Logan turned 6 months old on Sunday. The only real "celebration" we had was feeding him cereal for the first time. We did go to the park, but it took us too long to get ready, so on the stroller-ride over he fell asleep. Josh and I had a little picnic anyway. He did go to the Doctor yesterday and Dr. Clayton said he is doing just great. He said Logan is teething, which I thought, but still no teeth have poked up. He got his shots and he doesn't have to get anymore until his is one year! I was, of course, concerned about his weight gain, but Dr. Clayton told me not to w
