Feed the Birds

This is Logan on Sunday, 8/5/07. We have so much fun taking pictures of him now, because I hold the button on the camera half-down and Josh makes him smile, so I end up capturing some good moments. We were given a bunch of clothes from some friends, who were moving, and this little vest was in the bunch. I thought it was pretty cute, so I dressed him up for church. He looks darling in this picture.

On Saturday, 8/4/07 we went to BYU and fed the birds. I thought it would be fun. Logan looked at the ducks, but I couldn't tell if he really liked it or not. They weren't too noisy, and they came pretty close to us (we did bring some bread to entice them toward us) but they didn't come out of the water or anything. He mostly likes to watch other people and what they are doing.

I get so excited about Logan playing with toys, especially because he has interest in them now. Justin & Jana gave us Jordyn's old walker quite awhile ago. Now that Logan can sit up with help I wanted to try putting him in the walker and see how he did. He liked the toys and did pretty good sitting in it for awhile. We lowered it so his feet touch the floor and now and then he would push his body up using his feet.

Of course our new favorite game that keeps Josh and me entertained, trying to get Logan to smile! He has dimples on each cheek!

Josh and I really like watching the Food Network, especially Iron Chef America and Good Eats. We watched an episode of Good Eats where Alton made soft pretzels, so we wanted to try. I think they turned out pretty well and they tasted delicious. You can get the recipe with this link pretzels.

Those pretzels look so yummy! We have the exact same walker for Amy. I am also looking forward to the time when my baby has some interest in playing with toys as she really doesn't yet. Oh well, they are fun from the very beginning.

A Couple of Updates

I haven't been very involved in the online world very much in the recent months. I haven't been feeling very well. I had mostly rejoined the feeling-better society and getting excited for the ultrasound which we had yesterday on January 15th. Yes, I am Pregnant!!! 20 weeks to be exact and I had gone to 4 doctors appointments and heard the heartbeat several times. Josh and I went to the ultrasound anxious to find out the gender, because we are planners of course. I got situated and the person doing the ultrasound put the wand on my belly and I looked up at the monitor and saw two circles. (I wish we had a picture of that, but we don't have that exact one) In my mind I said, "that is two heads." She said, "Oh, did you guys know you were having twins?" Josh turned, because he had not seen the two heads on the monitor yet and said, "Uh, no". And she said, "Well, you are!" Surprise. A few moments later we found out it was two girls. Wowza.

Josh Had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

I am so lucky to have these two guys in my life! I hope you had a good birthday yesterday, Josh!

1st Half-Birthday

Logan sits up all by himself now, but he uses his hands like a little tripod for support. He is also able to roll from his back to his stomach, but he really doesn't like his stomach, so he has probably only rolled that way less than 10 times. Mostly when we tease him with toys or other such things. He is really laid back and happy and I just keep thinking I am the luckiest mom in the world! So Logan turned 6 months old on Sunday. The only real "celebration" we had was feeding him cereal for the first time. We did go to the park, but it took us too long to get ready, so on the stroller-ride over he fell asleep. Josh and I had a little picnic anyway. He did go to the Doctor yesterday and Dr. Clayton said he is doing just great. He said Logan is teething, which I thought, but still no teeth have poked up. He got his shots and he doesn't have to get anymore until his is one year! I was, of course, concerned about his weight gain, but Dr. Clayton told me not to w
