Not Quite . . .

We are just loving the summer. Logan especially loves to be outside and will crawl to the front door and stand up and grab the door knob! He was able to play with his cousins over the weekend at a park and his grandparents this week. He never sits still, not even for a second.

Also, over the weekend he took two steps, not to his mother or father mind you, but to his cousins! Josh and I have been trying to have him walk to us for weeks with no real progress. His cousin Ashley puts out her hands and he takes two steps on his own to her! Then yesterday when my parents were here we were all trying to get him to walk and he started taking a few steps at a time. The most he took was 10! He is on the way to full walking status. I know walking just means getting into more things, but I am ready to not have to carry him around everywhere. He is starting to be quite the chunker! And I think he may qualify for tallest child that can't walk. We go around town and these little, tiny, petite children, probably half of Logan's height, are walking around! It is exciting, anyway, first steps and all!

Good job Logan! Congrats! After those first few the steps they take grow exponentially every time. I'm excited for you! It is nice not to have to carry them everywhere.

Wow he's so adorable! I can't wait to see him walking. Whatever anyone else says I really like when the walk. Sure they get into stuff, but they also can entertain themselves a whole lot better.

I am not quite sure how much Logan weighs, he was 22 lbs. 2 1/2 months ago, and we haven't weighed him since. Enough, that he needs to carry his own weight around here!

It's so much fun to watch them hit those important milestones. We were excited that we wouldn't have to carry Aspyn around stores when she started to walk but then she became really independent and won't follow us anymore so we still have to carry her. And she is probably one of those ones that is half of Logan's size!

Logan is doing fantastic! We so enjoyed watching him "walk" the past couple of days. Josh and Tif are great parents. Love, mom/grandma

A Couple of Updates

I haven't been very involved in the online world very much in the recent months. I haven't been feeling very well. I had mostly rejoined the feeling-better society and getting excited for the ultrasound which we had yesterday on January 15th. Yes, I am Pregnant!!! 20 weeks to be exact and I had gone to 4 doctors appointments and heard the heartbeat several times. Josh and I went to the ultrasound anxious to find out the gender, because we are planners of course. I got situated and the person doing the ultrasound put the wand on my belly and I looked up at the monitor and saw two circles. (I wish we had a picture of that, but we don't have that exact one) In my mind I said, "that is two heads." She said, "Oh, did you guys know you were having twins?" Josh turned, because he had not seen the two heads on the monitor yet and said, "Uh, no". And she said, "Well, you are!" Surprise. A few moments later we found out it was two girls. Wowza.

Josh Had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

I am so lucky to have these two guys in my life! I hope you had a good birthday yesterday, Josh!

1st Half-Birthday

Logan sits up all by himself now, but he uses his hands like a little tripod for support. He is also able to roll from his back to his stomach, but he really doesn't like his stomach, so he has probably only rolled that way less than 10 times. Mostly when we tease him with toys or other such things. He is really laid back and happy and I just keep thinking I am the luckiest mom in the world! So Logan turned 6 months old on Sunday. The only real "celebration" we had was feeding him cereal for the first time. We did go to the park, but it took us too long to get ready, so on the stroller-ride over he fell asleep. Josh and I had a little picnic anyway. He did go to the Doctor yesterday and Dr. Clayton said he is doing just great. He said Logan is teething, which I thought, but still no teeth have poked up. He got his shots and he doesn't have to get anymore until his is one year! I was, of course, concerned about his weight gain, but Dr. Clayton told me not to w
