Last weekend when my family was down, we were also able to go to the Aquarium in Sandy. Logan liked looking at all the fish, and it was nice, because they have it designed so little kids can see all the exhibits. He loves doing things by himself these days. There was a place to touch some sting rays. I touched one of course, but Logan's arms were too short to reach all the way down. I don't think he minded though, because I let him play in the water for quite awhile.

Hide and Seek is Logan's favorite game right now. He thinks the whole process is pretty much the coolest thing imaginable. He is getting pretty good at holding still while you find him too. We end up playing it all the time, although we reuse our hiding places. He doesn't mind. He still looks. Logan also loves to find Josh and I, and when he does, he wants to come hide with us. He will walk around the house saying, "Mom, where are you?" Pretty creative! Yes, he does say "Eleventeen" FYI: For anyone that follows, Josh made his debut post with Logan sings his nursery hits (the previous post)! Take a gander at who posted it, and you will see his name.

Although the snow made it a little tricky to travel to and from Logan last week for some pre-Christmas celebrating, we sure did have a lot of fun playing in all that snow. Josh really wanted to make an igloo, and we got really close, but we ended up with just a snow fort in the end, still extremely cool. There is nothing better than laying down in snow and making a snow angel.

The past couple of months has just flown by! Things have been pretty busy or maybe just steady, as I have realized life with a toddler always is. Fall is my favorite season, I just love everything about it. Here's a couple Highlights: -We went to Hogle Zoo and Famous Dave's (yum, yum, Josh's favorite!) -We also took pictures at Utah State, went to the USU Homecoming Parade, and the North Logan Pumpkin Walk when we were up in Logan for Katelyn's 1st birthday party. -Logan got to go trick-or-treating with his cousins, which he loved! We just couldn't resist! The pumpkin walk is always fun, and this was my favorite exhibit. It was a fishing scene including a lake and waterfall made out of pumpkins. I was able to go to another Early Childhood Conference. This conference was at Salt Lake Community College and Roscoe Orman was the keynote speaker. He talked a lot about the history of Sesame Street and he also said, "You have to imagine something, before you can acco...

We went to Bridal Veil falls, and it was as beautiful as ever. Logan loves the water and I hadn't planned on letting him get in, but I decided it would be worth wet shoes and socks. He absolutely loved it! We walked back and forth across the rocks about 10 times and just kept giggling and laughing and looking at Josh. He also loved picking up rocks and then tossing them back into the water.

Another 4th of July has come and gone. I think we are finished with our celebrations, although it makes me slightly sad. I really love it. The balloon festival , definitely a favorite of mine, and the only time all year I get up that early. We showed up around 6:00 am. That's early, but well worth it, because it really is neat how they blow up the balloons and shoot fire to get the air to heat up, and then they launch into the air. Logan also really enjoyed watching the balloons. Logan saying, "Hot"after seeing the fire. The parade . Of course extremely big in Josh's family. Josh and his dad spend months helping to plan the grand event and they spend the parade riding around in a golf cart supervising everything that goes on. I had Logan watch the whole thing start to finish and he did pretty well. Sitting still is not ever on his list of things to do. I love parades. His favorite new game that I play with him is putting things on his head and saying, "hat...

Josh's family loves the 4th of July! I get so excited about all the activities that are associated with America's birthday and the Freedom Festival. On Saturday we went to the Children's parade. Although not usually on the family to-do list, it holds a special part of my heart after working at Adventure Time. It was also nice, because it was a little practice for Logan and a Parade, and he loved it! There are popsicles at the end of the parade and we had fun letting Logan try to eat one. We also went to the Patriotic service and Logan absolutely loved the big band music. When music starts to play he will wave his right hand with vigor as if he were leading the music. He lasted through part of Glen Beck's talk and then I left to put him to bed, but he made it quite awhile! Then this morning Logan and I went to see the Colonial Days opening parade, which was very sort, but fun nonetheless. We visited Logan (the city) this weekend to help my sister move. (We managed to sneak in some Tiny Spicy Chicken and a quick trip to the creamery!) Logan (the child) played in the pack-n-play for awhile while we were moving things, but eventually decided he was done. Luckily Chrissy had a little water table that I had seen as things were being unloaded from the truck. I filled it up with water and let Logan go to town. He got his clothes soaking wet, but he had so much fun. It kept him busy for a really long time. Logan loves the water. We went swimming on Thursday and he played in the pool for two hours straight. He didn't even mind getting sprayed or squirted in the face from various pool toys and things. Logan was able to meet his cousin Akasha for the first time. He was also able to see his other cousins Katelyn and Peyton. He wanted to hug the babies over and over again. He loves other kids!

We are just loving the summer. Logan especially loves to be outside and will crawl to the front door and stand up and grab the door knob! He was able to play with his cousins over the weekend at a park and his grandparents this week. He never sits still, not even for a second. Also, over the weekend he took two steps, not to his mother or father mind you, but to his cousins! Josh and I have been trying to have him walk to us for weeks with no real progress. His cousin Ashley puts out her hands and he takes two steps on his own to her! Then yesterday when my parents were here we were all trying to get him to walk and he started taking a few steps at a time. The most he took was 10! He is on the way to full walking status. I know walking just means getting into more things, but I am ready to not have to carry him around everywhere. He is starting to be quite the chunker! We were able to go to Salt Lake a little while ago and visit with Karen, my good friend from high school, her husband Dave, and her new little guy Eli, who we had never met! (they live in North Carolina) We went to temple square and took some fun pictures. Taking a moment to stop and smell the flowers. Logan loved to look at Eli! Me, Josh, Logan, Dave, Karen, and Eli. Logan loves water and he surprised us by being able to climb onto this ledge by the little fountain all by himself, we had to watch him like a hawk. He is a crazy climber these days!
